MENTFITTZ Safeguarding policy

The safety and welfare of children and young people is our top priority. This Safeguarding Policy outlines our commitment to ensuring a safe and secure environment for all participants.

This policy applies to all staff, contractors, and volunteers associated with MENTFITTZ. It covers all activities, both online and in-person, that involve interaction with children and young people.

3. Our Commitment

- We are committed to safeguarding the welfare of children and young people by ensuring that our staff, contractors, and volunteers follow safe working practices.
- All staff and volunteers are required to adhere to this safeguarding policy and undergo regular training to ensure they understand their responsibilities.

 Enhanced DBS Checks

- All staff and volunteers working with children and young people are required to undergo Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks.
- We maintain up-to-date records of all DBS checks and ensure that they are renewed in accordance with legal requirements.

 5. Code of Conduct

- Staff and volunteers must always act in a professional manner and maintain appropriate boundaries.
- Physical contact with children and young people should be avoided unless necessary for safety reasons.
- Any inappropriate behavior or language towards children and young people will not be tolerated.

 6. Reporting Concerns

- All concerns about the safety or well-being of a child or young person must be reported immediately to the designated safeguarding officer.

- We have a clear process for managing and investigating safeguarding concerns and allegations.

 7. Online Safety

- We ensure that all online interactions, including video games and virtual sessions, are conducted in a safe and secure manner.

- We encourage open communication with parents and guardians regarding their child's participation in our programs.

 8. Training and Awareness
