I am developing a short video game for kids in school that emphasizes the importance of understanding racism, mental health, and bullying, and how these issues are interconnected and impact one another. Inspired by my 11-year-old mixed-race daughter, who is starting secondary school soon, I want to create a tool that educates children on these important topics. Seeing everything that is happening in the world today has motivated me to help ensure that she and other children don’t have to face the same challenges I experienced when I was in school. This game aims to foster empathy, awareness, and resilience in young people, encouraging them to create a more inclusive and supportive environment for everyone.
We are offering local businesses in Southampton a unique opportunity to collaborate and have an input in this innovative project that aims to highlight the importance of understanding racism, mental health, and bullying among children. By partnering with us, businesses can help promote a shared vision of inclusivity and wellbeing while becoming a part of the brand before we take it to mainstream markets. This collaboration can benefit both of us: local businesses can enhance their community presence and demonstrate their commitment to social responsibility, while we gain valuable support and resources to further develop and refine this impactful initiative.
The game we are developing, coupled with a one-day masterclass and fitness session, offers a comprehensive enrichment day for schools. This program can help children better understand and address these crucial issues, improving their emotional and social wellbeing. By participating in these activities, children can learn empathy, build resilience, and create a more supportive school environment, which also aids teachers in managing classroom dynamics.
We encourage local businesses to spread the word and recommend this program to their local schools, helping us bring this important educational tool to more children. MENTFITTZ aims to be the first wellbeing provider to offer such an innovative concept—using video games to raise awareness about racism, mental health, and bullying, and empowering young people to make positive changes. If you share our vision and want to be a part of this groundbreaking initiative, please reach out and contact us. Together, we can make a real difference in our community.
